Reba McEntire reveals whether she’s going to marry boyfriend Rex Linn

Reba McEntire is leaving the fate of her relationship in the hands of her boyfriend, Rex Linn.

The country superstar, who has been dating Linn since January 2020, is up to tie the knot for the third time, but she’s also happy to keep things the way they are.

“I said [to him], ‘If you want to that’s fine with me.’ I’ve been married twice, he’s never been married so if he wants to that’s up to him,” she exclusively told Page Six at the recent Bring Change to Mind’s 11th Annual Revels & Revelations Gala, a mental health-focused nonprofit co-founded by actress Glenn Close.

The “One Promise Too Late” singer first met and became friends with the actor on the set of the 1980 TV movie “The Gambler.”

Two months after the pair began dating, they were forced to do long-distance during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the “CSI: Miami” star, 66, was based in Los Angeles, while McEntire was in Oklahoma.

McEntire, 68, told Page Six that the first time they kissed after such a long buildup was “incredible” and they’ve “been kissing ever since.”

“He makes me laugh all the time,” she told us. “That’s the best thing about our relationship. We make each other laugh.

“We say how dorky we both are and we have fun … We like each other and we love each other.”

McEntire was previously married to steer wrestling champion and rancher Charlie Battles from 1976-1987, and Narvel Blackstock — with whom she shares 33-year-old son Shelby — from 1989-2015.

She has previously admitted that her split from Blackstock was “not my idea.”

“I didn’t want it in any shape, form or fashion,” the country singer shared on a radio show in March 2016. “So, it was really hard to make the adjustment when someone’s not happy. I just want everybody to be happy in their lives, because our lives are too short to be miserable.”

The pair announced their separation in August 2015 after 26 years of marriage.

McEntire is not only happy in the romance department, she’s also busy in her professional life.

The two were friends for decades before romance blossomed.

“The Voice” judge currently has a book out called “Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots,” and she said the title sums her up.

“I’m not a fancy person,” the “Reba” star promised. “I do like sparkles and fringe and my boots but to be a fancy person? No, I’m very down to earth. All the things you see me wear when I’m doing a concert is for the fans. To wear high heels? That’s not me.”

McEntire said her non-fancy demeanor also extends to her home life.

“I like Solo cups, not crystal. I just like to be down home and normal,” she shared. “I came from Oklahoma, I’m a rodeo brat, I lived on a working cattle ranch so the older I get the more I get back to my roots which is not that fancy.”

And that includes shoveling copious amounts of horse manure even though she’s not sure how much she actually shoveled.

“Ton and tons!” McEntire exclaimed. “And I never really got down as far as I should have in the stalls!”
