Talk about a sticky situation.
Jenna Lyons got real about the downsides of wearing latex during a chat on Vogue’s “The Run-Through” podcast this week, sharing a hilarious story about how she felt like “the pariah of Paris” while attending fashion week in a rubbery Saint Laurent bodysuit.
“The problem is, when you wear latex you have to put lube on it because otherwise it doesnât shine,â the “Real Housewives of New York City” star explained of the piece, which she styled with striped Tom Ford trousers in the City of Light.
âSo then you canât get next to anything,” she continued. “You can’t hug anyone, you canât rub up against anything and you can’t sit on a piece of upholstered furniture because youâll ruin it. So, youâre a little bit like a weirdo.”
Added the former J. Crew exec, “Youâre walking into the party like, âDonât touch.'”
Lyons joked that she felt like a “giant sex toy” at the high-fashion event, and said that removing a latex look at the end of the night can be somewhat of a sweaty endeavor.
“You come home and you’ve created an ecosystem within your own body,” she shared.

This isn’t the first problem Lyons has struggled with this particular bodysuit.
The LoveSeen founder got stuck in her the same Saint Laurent style after wearing it to the Natural History Museum’s NYC gala last December, sharing the wardrobe malfunction in a hilarious Instagram video.
âI went to an event tonight and my friend Sarah zipped up my latex bodysuit, but I got out of the cab and I didnât ask her for help unzipping me, and now I canât get out of it,” she said in the clip, adding, “I can’t believe this is happening.”
While it might not be easy to put on or take off, Lyons definitely shines in the edgy style.
