Aaron Carter’s twin sister, Angel, reveals late singer’s ‘final resting place’

Aaron Carter’s twin sister, Angel Carter, revealed via social media that the late pop singer is being honored nearly a year after his shocking death.

“Aaron’s portrait was placed this morning at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills,” she wrote in a heartfelt caption on Instagram Friday.

“He adored his fans, and I know how much this would mean to him now having a final resting place where we could all celebrate his life.”

“I invite you to visit, share your memories, and never forget who Aaron was deep down. 🤍🕊️,” she concluded.

The “I Want Candy” singer’s memorial features his face carved into bronze.

Alongside the portrait, there is an inscription that reads, “In Loving Memory, Aaron Carter, 1987 – 2022. Beloved Brother, Son, Friend & Father of Prince Carter.”

According to his autopsy report, the former child star died from the effects of difluoroethane, a flammable gas commonly found in cans of compressed air, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax.

Two months before his death, Aaron enrolled in an outpatient rehab program after losing custody of his son, whom he shared with on-again, off-again fiancée Melanie Martin.

“It’s an abstinence program and I work with an individual counselor,” the “Aaron’s Party” singer told the Sun at the time, emphasizing that he was in treatment in order to get his “son back.”

However, Aaron was later seen on multiple Instagram Live sessions and interviews in the weeks leading up to his death appearing under the influence.

His death was ruled accidental.

Angle, who appears to have lead a clean lifestyle, previously spoke about her family’s toxic dynamic — which she said was riddled with emotional abuse and addiction.

In June, the “Marriage Boot Camp” alum’s sister Bobbie Jean Carter was arrested in a Brooksfield, Fla., Hobby Lobby after being caught attempting to shoplift $55 worth of merchandise.

The 41-year-old allegedly tossed a powder blue container from her purse during the incident, which was later found to contain 1.3 grams of white powder and 0.8 grams of purple powder inside.

A field test later confirmed that the purple powder was fentanyl.

Aaron shared a 1-year-old son, Prince, with Melanie Martin.

In 2012, Leslie Carter, the second oldest sister of the siblings, died from a drug overdose.

Angel shared that she stopped speaking to their mother, Jane Carter, after the matriarch posted gruesome photos of the crime scene where Aaron’s body was found online.

The former model told People in August, “It was a true invasion of privacy and something that Aaron would’ve never wanted the public to see.”
