One of New York’s foremost society swans, Muffie Potter Aston, was rescued by a pedicab driver while on her way to a tony benefit in Central Park this week.

We hear Aston — a regular on the high-society charity circuit — was walking the arduous 0.3 miles from the entrance of the park at 72nd and Fifth over to Bethesda Fountain when a pedicab driver named Boris saw her staggering in her heels and vintage Oscar de la Renta (natch).

We’re told benevolent Boris offered a ride to Astor — on her way to the annual fall luncheon of the Central Park Conservancy’s Women’s Committee — despite her protestations that she didn’t have her wallet on her.

“When I heard his bike bell ring, I thought to myself ‘poor guy is ringing for nothing,'” Aston told Page Six.

“But he took me to the lunch even after I told him I had absolutely no money. Chivalry is not dead!” she added.

The socialite did not have her wallet, and was given the ride for free.

At the charity event among the city’s ladies who lunch, the socialite — who is president of fund-raising arm the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and is married to plastic surgeon Sherrell Aston — gushed over Boris and his “beautiful” pedicab decked in “pink flowers.”

She was so taken by his random act of kindness that we’re told she got his phone number — and promised to return to the park again to pay him for the ride.

Guests at the event included socialites Jenny Paulson, Gillian Hearst, Gillian Miniter, Fe Fendi, Margo Nederlander, Katherine Gage Boulud, Emily Chen, Enrica Arengi Bentivoglio and Elaine Textor — and the 1-percenters also got some unplanned entertainment.

A flash mob in Revolutionary War gear busted out in song and dance to the “Hamilton” track “My Shot” right next to the fountain where the event was happening.

The number, which was being filmed, ended up being a surprise marriage proposal for a shocked bride-to-be who said yes to one of the white-wigged players, who got on bended knee at the close of the song.

The event raised more than $325,000 for the conservancy, which helps pay for the upkeep and maintenance of the park.
