Chloë Sevigny brings her baby to Frieze art bash

Chloë Sevigny’s baby is already the newest “it” kid on the art scene, of course.

We’re told the always fashionable actress brought her nearly one-year-old son, Vanja, to a Frieze festival kick-off bash for journalist Nate Freeman’s juicy Artnet column “Wet Paint,” on Thursday.

“It was the baby’s first-ever party, but I can’t imagine it will be his last,” a source at the party at Happy Be at Tribeca’s Walker Hotel told us. “She was walking him around and he was the life of the party.”

Sevigny gave birth to Vanja last May during the pandemic and praised the staff at Mt. Sinai East, thanking them “for your bravery, perseverance and kindness, especially the nurses for being so gentle and patient.”

She added, “Blessings to all the other families giving birth during this time.”

The “Russian Doll” star married her husband Sinisa Mackovic, who serves as the director of Karma Art Gallery in NYC, in March 2020.

Others at the event included artists Chloe Wise, Raúl De Nieves, Ryan McNamara, actress Hari Nef, and Gagosian director Antwaun Sargent.

A source tells us a number of guests got trapped in the elevator down from the rooftop, but that they were rescued by the fire department within 15 minutes.

Over in the East Village, the Modern Art Museum Shanghai held an artsy bash at economist Nouriel Roubini’s ritzy apartment with guests including art dealer Tony Shafrazi, Pace Gallery’s Adam Sheffer, Leilah Weinraub, and socialite Lauren Remington Platt.

Frieze opened on Thursday and will run in-person with COVID-19 precautions at the Shed at Hudson Yards through Sunday. The pared-down art fair has 60 exhibitors on-site. It will also be showing online.
