This could melt your heart.
Lourdes Leon channeled her mom Madonna’s famous look from her 1998 music video for “Frozen” in her own new visual for her own song, “Spelling.”
Lourdes, who makes music as Lolahol, released the haunting music video for her new single Tuesday wearing a witchy black dress similar to the “Material Girl” singer’s famous look.
The 26-year-old musician added spooky white contact lenses while hovering in the deep woods, posing in a black gown that fluttered around her while she sang.
The entire video is also aesthetically similar to Madonna’s own, where she wore her long, dark hair straight with a braided updo on top like a crown, while showing off a similarly gothic Jean Paul Gaultier gown.
Lourdes shared a clip from the music video on Instagram Tuesday and explained, “This piece is very special. It’s an homage to my mother’s timeless piece of art, Frozen.”

“I would be nothing without the woman who brought me into the world. I revere her, and hope that this translates,” Lourdes concluded.
Fans thoroughly appreciated the callback to Madge’s visual and fashion style as well.
“Cool that she’s paying homage to her mum’s ‘Frozen’ 🖤🔥 Love the song, artistry & especially when the tempo picks up near the end,” one fan wrote.
Another praised, “I have to say, i was not aware of her career, and the fact that who is her mother, i thought this was going to be some plastic cash grab…but wow this is amazing, Frozen is my favorite Madonna song, and this this is a rebooted [sic] homeage, its absolutely delicious.”
Lourdes has a penchant for wearing edgy ensembles similar to her mom’s ‘90s favorites, whether she’s making a splash on the Victoria’s Secret red carpet in a barely-there metal mesh dress, rocking a lace-up corset like Madge or showing a little skin in a cutout catsuit.
Perhaps we’ll see mother and daughter team up for a collaboration rather than a tribute next.
