Britney Spears reveals ‘amazing’ celebrity who’ll narrate her ‘Woman in Me’ audiobook

The audiobook for Britney Spears’ highly anticipated memoir, “The Woman in Me,” will be narrated in part by award-winning actress Michelle Williams, Page Six can confirm.

Sources reveal to us exclusively that there were many female celebrities vying to do the voiceover, but the Princess of Pop, her team and publishers ultimately decided to go with the “Greatest Showman” star because of the “tremendous amount of class and elegance” she possesses and her own complex family history.

“There was a mutual attraction from all sides based on Britney’s powerful narrative and what Britney went through and Michelle’s own integrity and history with her own emancipation issues,” an insider tells Page Six.

Williams was legally emancipated from her parents at age 15 so that she could pursue an acting career and work “adult hours,” per the Guardian.

Spears, 41, said in a statement to People Friday that her forthcoming book “has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it.”

Britney Spears said she is “grateful” Michelle Williams will be narrating her memoir.

She then explained why she will “only be reading a small part” of her audiobook: the introduction.

“Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching and emotional, to say the least,” the “Toxic” singer said.

“I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it.”

In her own brief statement, Williams, 43, showed her support for the pop icon, stating, “I stand with Britney.”

We’re told Williams was one of many top female celebs vying to do the voiceover work for Spears’ book.

Page Six broke the news in February 2022 that Spears had signed a whopping $15 million deal to pen a tell-all about her life.

More than a year later, “The Woman in Me” is finally set to hit bookstores on Oct. 24.

Although Spears has turned down many offers to do press for the book, she has teased via her social media her excitement to finally share her story.

“The Woman in Me” will be released on Oct. 24.

“I worked my ass off for this book,” the “Oops! … I Did It Again” singer told her Instagram followers in July.

“I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it. And if you don’t like it, that’s fine too.”

Sources exclusively told Page Six earlier this year that Spears’ tome will be “brutally honest.”

“Britney’s book is a story of triumph,” an insider said in April.

“It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood — being a little girl with big dreams — her breakup with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head and her battle with her family over her conservatorship.”

A separate source also confirmed to Page Six exclusively in September that “no topic was off limits” for the Grammy winner.

Sources previously told us Spears, seen here with her family, was “brutally honest” when penning her tome.

However, Spears’ most recent split from her estranged husband, Sam Asghari, will not be mentioned in the book since their divorce took place after the manuscript was finished, according to multiple insiders.

But a source recently told us that there will be a passage on the 29-year-old actor and the former couple’s 14-month marriage.

Spears herself took to Instagram this month to tease that a possible sequel may already be in the works, sharing in a caption, “Riding ‘n writing ✍🏻 !!! All I’m doing at the moment … volume 2 coming after 1 🙈🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ !!! #TheWomanInMe.”
